Pleasure Point

A surfer's paradise

Welcome to Pleasure Point or “The Point” as the locals like to call it. Pleasure Point is very unique as it has limited access from Portola Drive along with one way access from East Cliff Drive. The limited access has created a hidden gem along the Pacific Ocean that also happens to be a World Surf Preserve. For many years Pleasure Point was affectionately called the surf ghetto. With the stunning reconstruction of the seawall along with the creation of multiple ocean access points and the installation of a beautiful esplanade along the ocean, Pleasure Point has become one of Santa Cruz’s most sought after neighborhoods. There are also ten surf breaks along Pleasure Point, plus a couple of great beaches to take your kids!

Location

Pleasure Point is nestled along the ocean between Capitola and the yacht harbor with easy access to Highway 1.

Home Sale Prices

Anywhere from a little over a million to six plus million for a single family home.

Tips

In Pleasure Point you can walk to three of the best coffee shops in town along with multiple surf shops, boutiques, yoga studios and restaurants on lower 41st Avenue. If you need some groceries, New Leaf Market and Whole Foods Market are just minutes away. We like stopping by the Point Market for rock fish tacos and The Penny Ice Creamery for organic ice cream. If you are looking to build or have a vacation rental, The Point has some unique regulations, so please reach out with any questions.
